About Me
I am 40 years young and have just started learning how to make things out of leather.
I served 10.5 years in the Navy. Out of those, I lived overseas for 8 of them. I have been to over 26 different countries but was happy to come "home".
My grandfather was a leather worker who could make anything, and I do mean anything. He had a huge clientele base and always offered to teach me when I was younger. I of course always said "maybe later"! Later never came as I moved to California, then joined the Navy when I was 22. When I got injured and came back home, he passed away shortly there after.
My wife and I bought my grandparents house over a year ago and people in the area started asking if I did custom leather work like my grandfather did. It got to the point where about 3-4 weeks ago I decided to learn as there is a big market in my area for leather goods.
I am currently a dog trainer and hope to learn enough to be able to sit in my basement and make custom leather goods on the side.
