I got thin lamb leather to make wallet. now I only have two side of needle for my pfaff 1245, 20# and 22#. here is pfaff needle information: #207 thread use a #23 needle #138 thread use a #22 needle #92 thread use a #21 needle #69 thread use a #20 needle I'm going to use 20# needle and top/bobbin both 69 thread to sew this thin lamb leather wallet. question is that pfaff 1245 can use smaller size of needle or thread? what is smallest needle and thread that pfaff 1245 can use, if can use 46 or 33 thread which need to use 16# 18# needle, then I don't have to buy another sewing machine for sewing thin fabric ( cotton / light cavas ).

  3. Hi guys! you use your leather sewing machine for sewing cotton/silk/light cavas linging fabric? just change needle and thread of leather machine, or use second sewing machine. like home sewing machine? wondering should I get second machine for lining ( making purse/bag )?

  5. bought my pfaff 1245 few months ago, now start to make something. newbie question, I want to make leather clutch/purse/bag, what thread is usually use for making leather bag (sewing machine thread)? some guys buy thread from this web, they have nylon, polyester, kevlar thread. is nylon better than polyester?   6. Thank you Glendon, yes, I saw bag stiffiner on springfield! I bought pattern paper in sewing store, too thin, think bontex is best to make pattern.
  7. Hi guys! I bought a sewing maching few months ago, now start to make bag. wanna ask you guys where you usually get your cardboard to make pattern before you make bag? I searched online, most of them are very thin pattern paper or thick shipping cardboard. I pasted a picture here.
