Hello Art, thanks for the info. After doing research I have bought a Campbell lockstitch machine. Connie was great at setting it up for me. I also found a Landis 16 that is working as well. Thanks again!

Hello, I'm new here and need some help. I am looking for a stitcher for heavy duty sewing. I am sewing 2 layers of 10 - 11 iron sole leather and 2 layers of suede. The total thickness is right at 3/4 of an inch. We have been running 3 American straight needle machines but they are worn out and will not handle the work any longer. Tried a Union Lockstitch, too tempermental. Looking at a Landis 16 or a Campbell Lockstitch but not sure they will handle it either. Will the Adler 205 work? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
