Thanks for the response I called my local sew shop and they have me some needles on order and hes alittle backed up currently running about two weeks behind but said when he's caught up he can have my machine back to me within 2-3 days after he services it he's gonna make sure everything is in time and all parts are working as they should real excited to get on the machine
  5. My names Gregg I'm new to the forum been searching this site for awhile I'm basically looking for some guidance from some experienced people. I have been making holsters for about a year now selling to friends family and coworkers and some people through word of mouth. Now my question is with the feedback from people I wanted to take my holster making to the next level so I purchased a walking foot Pfaff 145. I felt like the price was right and the older gentlemen showed me that it worked as described. I have yet to take it to a sew shop to get it serviced which I wanted to do just to make sure everything was perfect, I know it needs a new belt for sure and I am considering a servo motor over the clutch motor that is currently on it. I have got in touch with nicksew I believe was his name. He lead me in the right direction as far as motors but here is my problem now. Using z89 thread and a 22 needle I can sew through two layers of 8-9 oz leather seemingly with no problems. Although the thread isn't as strong as I would like so I purchased some 207 thread, this is where my troubles have begun I thread the machine and all seems good until I try to sew when I do the thread seems to either not pick up from the bobbin or it shreds when going through the leather. Seemingly going thriugh the leather without hesitation. Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated sincerely Gregg
