Nah, after that I kinda abandoned ship. I did however find some 1.5oz full grain veg tan goat leather online though. I don't really know the difference between goat and cow hides. Any thoughts on how different the full grain goat hide would be?

That's strange since I got kind of a snippity email response from them stating "As usual rumours are false. No, we can not help you with purchaseing 1.5oz...the thinnest we can split is 2.5 - 3 oz.

Looks awesome Andy! I am just a hobbyist wanting to make a couple wallets for myself with little resources...did you punch those holes with an awl and what size of thread did you use if you don't mind me asking? -
