  1. I have only been doing leather work for about 2 months so i figured i would show yall a time lin eof my projects and progress. 1# was this awful crooked and hard to make wallet that i did with no tools. Its a turd but i was still very proud of it. #2 was several of these minimal wallets (these i like quite a bit and carry one) #3 was an attempt to make myself a holster for my mark II target. This turned out ok but i learned a bunch and made my dads much nicer. #4 this is my dads holster. He killed this snake so i did a getto tan and attached it to his blackhawk holster. I was very proud of this one. The sewing looks nice, it has nice burnished edges, and great fit to the gun. #5 a purse for my wife. I jumped off the deep end with this. It took probably about 30 hours and lots of sweat and fustration. The inside is lined with lamb skin. Its 4-5 oz veg tan exterior, canyon tan eco flow with mahogany antique, resolene then mink oiled. Tooling coulld have been better but it was pretty much my first tooled piece (other than the 3x5 instructive piece that comes with the tandy set). She loves it. for my next job i am making myself a messenger bag based loosly off the saddleback leather one.
  2. I have been lurking here for a while but have still failed to introduce myself. I am an engineer by trade living in Alabama. I have only recently started doing leather work and i will post a time line of projects in the other thread in a few minutes. All i can say is I Love IT!! I have been having a blast workiing, learning, and reading. Although it is kind of an expensive hobby to get into. I look forward to continuing, learning and sharing my experiences with you guys.
  3. Hey ray, I live in Opelika as well, small world. I have just started doing this stuff but absolutly love it. Do you do leather work professionally and how long have you been at it? Zack
