I have a Consew 227R-2 installed a servo motor but I wanted it real slow. Added another shaft and pulleys to slow it way down. I made a bobbin winder because the machine is so slow.

I am very curious about what you are doing. Could you please explain about the inner tubes and what they are used for. Pictures would be nice.

I have a Consew 227r-2, added a servo motor but it was still too fast for me. I then added a shaft with pulleys parallel to the motor to reduce speed. Instead of making the belt slot bigger I drilled new holes for the servo motor about 1 1/2 inches back from the factory holes. It works great. I don't know how to add pictures or I would. I also made a reverse pedal.

The table looks good, thanks for sharing. I have the Consew version and I might copy your table one day. Right now I am thinking about a reverse pedal, because sometimes I need 3 hands.

I stopped over my sewing machine mechanics house today. He used to have 3 sewing machine stores and is retired now. He offered me a Consew 227R-2 machine w/ table and clutch motor for $900.,He said one of his customers bought it new and used it for a short time but it wasn't able to do all she needed it to do, so he took it on trade and got her something else. I am a beginner and have a Juki LU-55 and I have made some tote bags and 1 women's skirt. He said this machine will do the job, it would be nice to have reverse and a cylinder arm. What do you guys think? I would switch to a servo motor as that is what I have on my Juki. It looks to be in very nice condition, maybe be like a showroom demo, no signs of heavy use.

I have a Juki LU -55 which I believe is a clone of a Singer 111W-155. First off I am new at the whole sewing thing, I bought the machine not working and found a retired sewing machine guy to time it and get it working for me. My problem is when sewing at a nice slow pace ( servo motor ) every now and then the thread pops off the disk to the left of the tension disk, I start out with the thread being controlled by the spring and the next thing I know the thread pops out of the groove. Any suggestions? I want to learn more about my machine and not just call my guy.

I am just a beginner, bought an old Juki LU-55 this machine doesn't have reverse. Should I hand tie the start and end of my sewing?
