Really nice shell box - looks likes one long piece that forms the front, back and bottom with two side pieces sewn on - is this correct?  I have made a couple of similar shell boxes and I used one piece of leather cut into a cross shape and when you fold all the arms up together and see them up it looks almost the same as your case.  Just wondering if your method is easier to cut out and sew?
