    Fireplace Bellows

I am still learning how to navigate this site. The leather work I do I use to decorate the front of decretive and functional fireplace bellows. Fun to make but hard to sell. Very limited market for them.

    Fireplace Bellows.

I made my own. I used, as a guide, a hand carved bellows I bought in Norway when I was traveling through there in 1984.

    Fireplace Bellows.

I have made about 55 of these functional and decorative fireplace bellows. The tooled leather is inset into the wooden bellows and glued in place. I started by carving the images into the wood but found inlaying leather much quicker and easier to get in more detail. Bellows are 15" long.
