Hi, I want to sew leather on a machine but it is quite thick (2mm) and I was wondering if there was anywhere on the internet which described ways of joining the leather / seams together. I was looking at a french seam which has a strip of leather at the back for when you sew down either side of the seam. Any thoughts?

Hi just wondering if by chance there is someone on here who knows how to paint the nickel double cap rivets - I hate the silver colour of the metal?

Brilliant sounds like magic! So sand edges, burnish with water and then apply acrylic?

Sorry, I don't understand - are you talking about rubbing the edge down with the saddle soap or just clean water on its own?

Hi, I was wondering how do I burnish pale blue acrylic dyed edges of leather - saddle soap etc will that work or intefere with the colour - make it look dirty. Everything has to be pale blue very white. Any ideas?

Hi, I only opened a bottle of fieblings dye and poured some into another bottle and found hands and work surface covered in dye which I could then not wipe away easily - it seems to be impossible to get off. Does anyone have any tips for how to stay clean when mixing dyes etc. of course I will wear gloves next time. Also does anyone know if there is a tool for punching the prongue bar hole on a belt buckle - I cut it out myself but it took ages - there must be an easier way? Many thanks.
