Hi there, I have a Cowboy 227r that I’m trying to get rid of in Albuquerque, NM. I know it’s not exactly a Cobra Class 4 equivalent, but I’m only asking $500 for it! Hi Jeff, I was able to obtain samples, but I did have to wait a while for an email response. I haven't taken the plunge and placed an order yet because I"m not sure goat skins are what I want considering how small they are compared to calf skins, but here is a list of the samples they sent me, including pricing: - Chèvre liege-main 64 € /m² - Chèvre sully 59€ /m² - Chèvre Métallisé Liégée-main 59€/M² - Chèvre tektonic 62 € for production our minimum is 20 SQMT - Veau metallise Foulonné 49 € for production our minimum is 20 SQMT I hope this helps, and best of luck! -Jessica

Hello, I have been trying to start the process of making a purchase directly from Alran S.A.S. for a month now (i.e., trying to figure out what the minimum cost per transaction is, and 'may I please have samples?'), but I cannot seem to figure out what the secret is to get them to actually respond to my email inquiries. To be fair, I have received one response, where I was asked for my address and a brief description of the work I do, but I haven't heard a peep since I forked that information over! Granted, not speaking French could be my problem...but I really hope there is an easy way around that issue. Have any of you been successful in placing an order from them, or even simply obtaining price information beyond what is on their website (which is no help at all)? Thank you, Jessica

What might also work is re-thinking the order in which you assemble the bag. For example, if you start your sewing from the bottom of the bag, then work your way up the sides (or the "walls", if you will), the lapped seam becomes easier to manage on a flat bed machine or a cylinder arm machine. However, you will probably have the most trouble using the flat bed machine. Can you show us an idea of what the bottom of your bag will look like?
