  1. I went to Walmart and purchased one of their steel restocking carts for $100 cash (which the manager probably pocketed) . They had several out behind their store . I mounted my buffing wheels and bandsaw on it. Handy, sturdy and highly manuverable. I went back and bought one for my 275 lb. anvil and forge. Can't live without them. Great for rearranging and cleaning. I attached a pic of two of my students in my "Wounded Warrior" school for spurmaking.
  2. Austin, I've been HS for years and finally decided to learn to use the treadle/hand crank/ motor compatible Pearson no. 6 before my fingers give out. When the machine gets here you are more than welcome to come over and try it out of you are still looking at options. Jeff over in East Texas.
  3. Thank you Singer. Seeing as the 7 cord is fairly thick I will go ahead and purchase a pack of the 300s. Not knowing anything about sewing I am having the machine setup prior to shipping in order to bypass a lot of headaches .
  4. Thank you Matt. I have located a few 300 chisel points and will purchase them. I just hated to buy the machine and then find out that it wouldn't work for what I needed. This really brightens my outlook for this machine.
  5. So what needle would you suggest for the 7 cord waxed Irish linen thread , sewing 12 oz. leather?
  6. Singer, I will be getting a #6 in the near future. It will be used to sew spur straps. At present I handsew using 7 cord waxed Irish linen which I would like to use in my Pearson. Will this thread work and if so which needle should I use with it ? Thanks I have attached a pic of my soon to be new baby.
  7. Does anyone know if the Pearson no. 6 will sew with waxed 7 cord Irish linen thread ?
