  1. From the album: My Sewing Machine Restorations

Year Built: 1912 This guy was a rusted hulk when I found it. A lot of oil and elbow grease and runs like a champ, so smooth. I love working with this machine.
  2. From the album: My Sewing Machine Restorations

Year Built: 1957 When I got this machine I couldn't even manually rotate it. Open it up, cleaned it out, used copious amounts of oil and elbow grease to get this guy running like a top.
  3. From the album: My Sewing Machine Restorations

Year Built: 1911 Found this character on Craigslist. Won't say what I paid. Lets just say I felt like "Jesse James" the outlaw. When I opened this guy up I found that someone along the line used grease to lube the parts. Needless to say after sitting around for a lot of years it was a mess. Still cleaning the gunk out of this guy. But, it does rotate freely. The needle bar was so impacted and plugged with years of grease, dirt, and grim it took a lot of picking with a length of stainless steel wire to clear it out.
