This is our craft shop. It's 14x18. My wife does her cross stitching and I work on my leather craft and my weapons.

This is a hand wallet I finished up the a customer. Price was $60.00. Said she loved it and her friends in NY will probably be wanting something similar.

Thanx. It was a good learning experience.

Small Holster From Scrape Leather
micktx replied to micktx's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanx. Need to show something for my screw ups from other projects. LOL -
Finally finished my vest. First leather project I made for myself. First time doing a vest too. The liner was a pain in the caboose. Then I decided to edge with lacing, what the hell was I thinking. The pockets are different sizes. The skinny one is for my cell phone. Still need to iron out some of the details, such as the the dark tabs. If I ever do another vest it will cost "big time" if they want a liner in it. Learned a lot from this project.

Leather vest and a whole lot of braiding
micktx replied to DS STRAPS's topic in Clothing, Jackets, Vests and Chaps
Did you stop by my house and steal my idea. LOL I'm working on a vest and doing pretty much the same lacing. Only I'm making mine out of deer skin. Looks great! Hope mine comes out as good. -
Rifle Scabbard Christmas Present
micktx replied to micktx's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanx for the comments. I should have mentioned that this was for last Christmas to make more sense. -
I don't see anything wrong with Crooked K. I like it personally. You can do some fun experimenting with that brand I think.

Elennah, I have the Able and love working with it. I had to do some polishing and oiling to get it to run smooth. I use it for precise sewing of up to 14 ounce leather with no issues. For projects that don't need the real precise stitching I use my Singer Model 29-4 sewing up to 14 ounce leather like cutting butter.

From the album: My Sewing Machine Restorations
I picked this machine up off of Ebay. It's a knock off of the older Bradbury leather workers sewing machine. Here in the United States it's called a Able 29. These are used today in China by cobbler street vendors and are pretty decent machines after smoothing out the rough edges. You can pick one of these up for under $300.00. -
