On stamps I usually figure uused are around three dollars if I can get them for less then that it's a good deal. handled tools like creasers, stitch groovers etc $5.00 - 10.00 however different brands anddiscontinued stamps may be woth a little more. Espescially if they have any collector value.

One thing you could do is go to http://brucejohnsonleather.com/content/ and look through what he has for sale... and check prices on the older tools that he may have that are similar to those in the sale you are considering.
