I have been making and selling holsters for about a year and a half on a gun website and have decided to sell everything and move on to another hobby. Everything I have will be a turn key operation for someone that wants to start making holsters but doesn't want to spend the next year in the learning curve. Below is a list of the major items I have but the sale will also include selanants, glue, edge coats, and quite a bit of extra leather in different colors. I only want to sell this locally because it would be too much to try and pack everything up to ship. If you have any questions or are interested in the equipment please email me at 281-914-9158. The price for everything is $4000 and I'm pretty firm. 1) Toro 3000 sewing machine with 207/277 thread and 1 full spool of weaver 346 2) 20 ton press for wet molding the holsters, also includes 4 gum rubber pads 3) Craftsman drill press for burnishing the edges 4) Ryobi belt sander for edge work 5) Fantastic edge burnisher (only used 4-5 times) 6) Leather skiver and strap cutter (bought on Ebay and only used them 2-3 times, these are both table top mount) 7) Cutting boards for clicker dies (one board is new the other is used, they cost almost $100 for the boards) 8) Clicker dies for the following guns, you can also use the patterns for other guns but this is all I worked on. The dies I have are cut for 10 different patterns. A) Springfield XD9 Springfield SubCompact C) Glock 19/23 D) Glock 26/27 E) Glock 30 F) Glock 36 G) 1911 full size H) 1911 commander size I) 1911 3-3 1/2" J) 1911 full size with rail 9) Blue guns for everything shown above 10) Dies to cut the straps for the two different style holsters 11) Head Knife, 3 punches, leather shears, mallet, and snap setter 12) 1 Single bend drum dyed black from Herman Oak 7/8 (paid $125) 13) Approx 3 square feet of black shark 14) Approx 2.5 square feet of black elephant 15) Enough pull the dot snaps for about 100 holsters, all finished in black 16) All of my sealants and edge coats are from Angelus and I have about 1/2 gallon of high gloss and 2/3rds of a gallon of satin for sealants and approx a quart each of black and brown edge coats. 17) 6" bench grinder with a weaver knife sharpener installed 18) 2 Weaver edgers 19) Weaver edger sharpener 20) 1 gallon of weaver gum tragacanth Here are a couple of threads and pictures of the holsters. http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=948502 http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=832663 If you have any questions please email me at liebel0557@sbcglobal.net

Starting to work with exoctics
mliebs8 replied to mliebs8's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Actually the loops aren't stitched. I've done a few pairs for myself and a couple of friends and after 6+ months of wearing it everyday they seem to be holding up quite well. This is a holster that I gave away since I'm just starting to make them left handed. Randy thanks for the feedback, as strange as it sounds the left handed holsters really give me a problem. I know your left handed, maybe we can make a deal, I'll make all the right handed holsters and you make all the left handed. I'm going to experiment with a few other shark trimmed holsters that people have been asking about, some of the requests are getting kind of complicated. After this next run of holsters I'm doing for the other forum I think I'm going to slow down and really try to focus on some real custom pieces. I'd really like to only do 3-4 a month but really try and make them something special. -
I'm just starting to work with exotics and finished up a holster yesterday for a guy on another forum. The holster is left handed which doesn't sound like much but it seems like it's harder to make than the right handed versions. Anyway here's a look at the holster, it's for a Glock 23. The straps and front trim are finished in Shark and once again my picture taking leaves alot to be desired.

two glock 19 holsters
mliebs8 replied to brinyar's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I love the holsters, your lines look beautiful. -
I prefer pull the dot snaps. They cost a little more but I really feel like their built better, not to mention that it keeps your belt from popping them open. If you buy them in bulk the price is pretty minimal for each holster that you make.

Couple of 1911 holsters I just finished
mliebs8 replied to mliebs8's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanks for the comments. The snaps are pull the dot, I buy them direct from dot fastners so they actually say pull the dot on them. -
Holster with elephant finish
mliebs8 replied to mliebs8's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
For the edges on the holster that are glued together I hit those with a belt sander and then touch up the areas I couldn't get with a dremel tool. I actually have several steps I take for the edges and I use different things for different parts of the holster. -

It's leather, the straps are actually 3 pieces. -
Holster with elephant finish
mliebs8 replied to mliebs8's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
The elephant is about 3-4 oz, at least that would be my guess and I purchased it from Springfield leather. The holster turned out a little thicker than I wanted, when I do it again I'll put 5-6 leather on the front and it should be pretty nice. The front moulded nice and hard so it should help with reholstering. I'm definately going to make one for my own personal use with my Kimber Ultra Carry. -
It looks very nice, seems to be a perfect fit too.

Need to find a locking device for a draw string

Thanks for the help. Freak, I wish I wouldn't have read the story about your dogs. I have dogs myself and it's sad just thinking about not having one of them. -
First attempts
mliebs8 replied to Scott1952's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
From what I can see they look pretty nice, is there a way I can enlarge the pictures to get a closer look? What I see so far is alot better than my first attempt, my first holster looked like it was my first attempt. LOL -
Holster with elephant finish
mliebs8 replied to mliebs8's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanks for the compliments Randy, I use Barge to glue everything. I put a coat on one piece and then join them together for a second and then take them apart and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I put a thin coat on each piece again and let it set for about a minute or so and then put them together and then clamp it overnight. I've been 2 coating everything lately and it seems to bond real well. -
Holster with elephant finish
mliebs8 posted a topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I've been experimenting with elephant and just finished this IWB holster for a Glock G26/27. The back is Hermann Oak 7/8 and the front in Hermann Oak 6/7 covered in elephant, the straps are also lined with Hermann Oak. I'd like to get some opinions on the finish, is it too much elephant? My photography leaves alot to be desired -
