Good condition, one of the hole punches has a gouge, but still works. $45 each or both for $80, shipping included https://imgur.com/bYuKF0Y https://imgur.com/97GsCnp

Loose Stitching backside on corners ?
robb01 replied to littlewing6283's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
How exactly did you adjust the tension? I'm having this exact problem with my seiko. I'm also running 22 needles at the moment, just ordered 23 after reading this post -
Appreciate all the help. Im guessing more time at the table will help with tis, but im getting some knots showing up when rounding corners, guessing just need to find the right tension? Running 138 in both sides. First project: Didn't turn out too bad, a lot to learn http://imgur.com/a/huEOT

Thanks, was wondering if there was a rough estimate on amount needed to sew a length. Is there a usual amount that a bobbin sound to 80% holds, ie 30 feet? That way I could figure exactly how many inches I could see per bobbin

Thanks to both, I'll try those suggestions. I loaded it onto an enclosed U-Haul trailer and drove it 2 hours to my shop, when unloading it, it looked like it hit the back door of the trailer, that's my guess for why it may have become unaligned

Just picked up a seiko sth-8bld-3 with a sewing package (servo motor / speed reducer / edge guide). The machine ran excellent in the shop, but having a few issues when I got it home. This is the first sewing machine I've ever owned and have never used a sewing machine in my life, so please bear with my beginner questions - It seems like the main belt on the machine is shredding a bit leaving rubber bits on the floor, it was squeaking too. I tried to manually adjust it by hand, and it made a little better. Should it be a very tight fit? How do you adjust the belt tension? - Should the threads point toward the back of the machine when starting to sew? That's what it seems like on youtube videos, but the gentleman in the shop said to pull the threads forward. - Is there a way to tell how much bobbin thread is left? How do you end/start stitching if it runs out in the middle of a run? - All in all it seems to be working pretty well, don't think I'll stop hand stitching smaller items. It will definitely help tote seams and seams that wont be visible. Thanks in adavance

That is the one they recommended

Still shopping for a machine, pretty much was set on a Consew 206rb5, contacted a dealer who mentioned that Consew is no longer as good as it used to be, and they recommended the 206 clone from Seiko. Any thoughts on Seiko, hardly see them mentioned here.

Anyone know if the double cap rivet die will work for multiple sizes of double cap rivets (6mm, 7mm, etc.)?

Which (flatbed vs cylinder arm) would be better for flat items (wallets, notebook covers, ect) which make up most of my products? I assumed the flatbed would be easier to use, but if I can put a flatbed on the cylinder arm, and remove it for times when I didn't need it that seems to be the better route to go

Thank you, that is one that I hadn't looked at. What is the main difference between the 227r and the class 18? They seem similar to me, but again I'm very much a novice at sewing machines. What thread size would be most like 1.0mm tiger thread that I currently use?

Is the cobra class 18 a clone of the Consew? Looking at that machine as well. I've seen a few 206's on craigslist, but I'd like to buy new for warranty and some support if i have issues getting it set up
