I am interested in buying an Adler 105-64, preferably with a Servo. If anyone knows of refurb companies that may have one in stock, I would appreciate the information. Stay safe!

LOL I didn't even think to check the date on it before I posted, but thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Fantastic information, to be honest a bit overwhelming. I don't think I'll need something as big as the 4500...would the same principles/steps apply if I were to get a smaller one, i.e. 3200, 3500..(?). I think the smart thing to do would be to see who and where the 'local' dealer is and make contact to see what machine I need to buy...that 4500 looks beautiful but it's rather big for my workspace and wallet hahaha
I really appreciate y'all...and I will most likely hit you up when I do in fact bite the bullet and buy my machine...it won't be long at all.

Great info here.....I am quickly discovering new things and I'd like a versatile machine that can do wallets, belts and holsters. Will these machines work good on thin leather for wallets as well? i'd hate to have to buy two machines if the lighter leather is too 'light'.

Thank you Collector. Virginia is such a beautiful state...I lived there in Fairfax for about a year...good times.

Welcome aboard! I hope your local shop is as good to you as mine has been to me...I'm quickly finding out that I don't know SQUAT regarding leather! HAHAHA I hope you find the support you need here...looking forward to seeing some of your work.
p.s. born in Bradenton, and my family lives in Venice.

Great info Camano Ridge. The guys at the Tandy store on the west side of Houston have been fantastic, and like you all here, supportive from the get go. I will make sure to get hands on the next time I'm in the store....(soon hahaha). I can't wait!

How much of a difference do they make? Do you mean there's something BETTER than my little yellow head hammer? HAHAHAHA.....seriously though, is there a big difference....?

Holy cow! I have so much to learn! It may sound stupid, but my mind was blown reading this...I had absolutely no idea. Thank you so much for sharing.

Great job Calvus! My son's name is Caleb too! I really dig the rustic/antique look....really dig it. When I first was all of the pieces of the decorative belt laid out my mind was like, whaaaat is this? hahaha but after seeing it, man that turned out darn smooth. Great friggin job with it. Keep on keeping on brother!

I trust everyone had a good Christmas and New Year!!! I added a few pictures into my personal gallery under my profile...I ordered a burnishing attachment from my bench grinder so I'm looking forward to using that! Oh, and I managed to stand up the website and went with the recommended Pay-pal option.

Great thank you for the input Cheryl...I'll try to mess around with the picture sizes when I get a chance. I am definitely going to get a paypal account, will probably start using that whenever the website is up....

I've been making decorative fire helmet shields, and leather patches that go on our bunker coats (I'm a professional firefighter). I've been pretty busy with what I've been doing, but I would like to move into doing some other things eventually. These take a while to do but I think they turn out pretty sick. I am not able to add more pictures due to the size of the pictures, but my facebook page showcases what I've been doing. If you type in Leather Gear, or Fireground Leather you'll see a pic of 2 more shields I did a while back. Enough babbling...y'all be safe

Hello all, I have been doing leather work for approximately 4 months...I'm making leather patch identifiers for our fire gear, as well as decorative helmet shields, intended to be keepsakes... I started by making something for myself and it just took off via word of mouth...anyway I am a Professional Fireman, and while I am staying busy with the patches and shields, I would love to get into other things. All in time I guess. I am currently working on a website which will probably be launched after the holiday...I am quickly finding out that I need to start a paypal account because receiving payment from outside my area is a little bit of a pain. Anyway, I look forward to learning from you all. Be safe.
I'm trying to load pictures but it keeps saying my files are too big....will keep on it and load them in time.
