Hi guys and gals, I'm thinking of investing in an airbrush and I wondered if anyone had any tips or advice on which model aribrush to purchase, and which paints it would work best with? Someone recommended an Iwata airbrush, but I've been told that you have to be careful which paints you use with it, as different viscosities could end up clogging the mechanism. Any tips/hints/advice would be very much appreciated to a leather airbrushing novice! Thanks, Louise AKA Mrs Ogre

Hey guys! I made a commission for a friend who is a member of the Royal Hussars regiment. He wanted his capbadge carved into a leather hip flask cover, and here it is! I have only been carving and tooling leather for about 4 months or so I know I have a long way to go, but I'm pretty happy with the result. This was finished in neats foot oil.

No problem, beesewax is a really great thing to use, and gives a great taste to beers and ales in the tankards!

Thanks King's X! Pkay - we use beesewax to seal the inside, then we paint a thin layer of beeswax on the outside of the mug too so that it's 100% water-tight. We used to use brewer's pitch, but it's a nightmare to use and cracks over time, so usually needs re-sealing.

Ah yes I know the one. It's next on our list, but we currently just make standard tankards of 1 pint, 2 pint and also 3 pints!

Hello all! I've been making leather goods with my husband now for about 6 months and I am well and truly smitten with all kinds of leather craft. I have only just started carving and tooling leather, and I know I have a long way to go. We run our business from home on the side as a hobby, and we have our own Facebook page and Etsy shop.
