Thanx for the kind words. Speaking for myself, I don't mind a little thread drift. Especially if the topics are pool, fishing or knives
-
Thanks for all the kind words. I made the case for my self, but you know how it goes, if offered the right amount I'll just have to make another. As for the interior, most of the guys in my poolroom shoot with a player and a jump / break combo cue. Any more than that and they carry bags that are more like golf bags than cue cases. I have no interest in making golf bags. The market is saturated with them. I'm trying to carve a niche... Next up is a 2 butt / 4 shaft combo for a friend. With a small pocket. The aim is to keep it light. Just like a back pack, the bigger it is, the more stuff you'll stick in there.

My second cue case. This one holds 2 butts and 2 shafts. A cross between Hawaiian Tiki and PNW Totem Pole... And one shot with yours truly for scale

Nice cut and finish on the circle... those aren't easy. -
Most excellent!

Beautiful!

You are welcome. Couldn't get this photo to load yesterday.

Thank you! Sewing the velvet was wifey's department. Basically a tube sock with 6" extra at the top for the overlap. Sewn with the pretty part on the inside... There is also a foam core circle in the bottom of the tube to add structural rigidity. Foam in-between the tube and velvet to keep the cue from rattling around.

I doubt that they are stainless. I scored them from a rabbit hobbyist supply house. Kind of hoping they patina a little with age.

The thought crossed my mind

That is the coolest thing I've seen in a long while! Back in '75 my design professor covered his BMW in leather... not nearly as cool as that though...

Thanks all for the nice comments. Samsara cue eh? Nice! The sides and bottom of the case were contact cemented together before I put the hog rings on. I had to open the rings a bit to make them fit over the 3 layers of leather and opening them 1/8" took too pairs of pliers and a good deal of effort. When I squeezed the rings shut, I squeezed them mightily Thank you for your concern. Time and use will tell.
