Here is a link to the Greenhalgh website http://www.thetannery.com.au/ for veg tan 'carving/embossing leather' in various thickness go for $215 a side and $150 for 2nd grade which as long as the leather is reasonable quality seems good value. I just want to look at the local options first before I buy imported leather but can't seem to find much infor on perople wih first hand experience using it
  2. Is anyone using any of the Australian made/produced veg tan leather. I am just starting out and have made a few things like knife sheaths, moulded ammo pouches and going to do a few notebook/diary covers and would like to try out some of the 'home grown' leathers. From what I can tell there is Packers and Greenhalgh tanners that still do veg tans - anyone using either of these leathers? Cheers James
