Very nice. I was just looking at one to add to my knife collection but the bid went higher than I wanted to spend. Good find!

Dude....those are really cool. I envy you because I cannot color anywhere close to this. Have you considered using a long thin nail to round and cap the stem?
Outstanding job.

Hide Crafter's used to sell them but there was not a big market for them, so they stopped. If you buy them from Simon at GoodsJapan, it will not take you 30 days to get them. He uses Air Mail and it will get to you within the 10days. I have used this site before and never had any issues with things taking 30 days to get it. You can email Simon at Info@goodsjapan.com for a shipping time quote. Occasionally, they come up on eBay, but good luck getting them.

I have a problem finding not the clear acetate or other kinds of "see-throgh" plastic, instead I am looking for the mesh sort of wallet ID window material, the "net" sort of material. it's usually quite stiff, a little like some sort of mosquito net for windows, but still not quite the same. Anyone seen anything like it, and know where to get it?
You might take a look at Lowe's or Home Depot. Take a look at the their sunscreen material. I am not sure if this is what you looking for or not.

Dremel tool or drill press. We have a couple of members on here that make the burnisher attachments.
Good luck!

The Al Stohlman leather museum is located in Fort Worth, if you can get away. It is a small exhibit, but a must see.
Enjoy!

I am sure that some members will response with a need. I am responding to keep this thread alive.
Oh, by the way, nice article in Shop Talk! I would really like to learn from such an accomplished leather artist.
Happy Carving!

I have used the edge of my granite block to sew the opposite side of a bag or what not when the gusset has already been attached. I would just place several weight bags inside to hold it still and sew away.
good luck!

I sympathize with your situation. I am sorry. Maybe pictuers would help out here with your sale. One or two would probably suffice.
Best of luck

I use a cam lever that I paid like $7 bucks for at the Woodcraft store. They are gold and made from aluminum, but the bolt is steel. They are used for varies machine jigs. I was worth the exchange from the typical t-nut. This store also carries other handles that might work for you. Check them out.

Probably a stitching horse for this video since it show clips of sewing. It is a good video even though it is short and compact.

Here is a link that I am passing on from my facebook. It is quite interesting. Take a look and enjoy what you can get out of it.

Glad you updated the post. I couldn't find it earlier to post this information. Apparently, you found out the same information that I did, but my contact provided me with this substitute for you.
Sorry no source for ginghers.
A good scissor is sold by Wolff Industries.
Under the Kai name.
Good stuff.
I hope this works out for you!

What do you think of it King's X? Should I start looking around myself for one? I have a pony, but I'm thinking a cam type might be easier for me to work with.
And your friend's maul is doing me a lot of good, by the way. It also took everything a bunch Boy Scouts dished out too, and the boys who used the maul liked the better control they had over the mallet.
Bear.....that is going to be the key. Mine had a bit of play, but I was able to take it completely apart and trim it bit to it's current state. Personally, if Ramrod is generously offering to negotiate a pick up for you and mailing...I would definitely go for it. I love me clam pony. Mount a base plate and it will work great for sitting situations where you want to stitch.
Your awesome Ramrod. Way to help out!

Word has been for a bit of time that they are slowing changing this. In fact, I bought a large Camo tool that was made out of stainless steel from Tandy. I was told that it was only in selected stores and they wanted to see how well they do. I don't know where it will go from here, but that tool has great grooves and bites really well.

Very cool....thanks.

I have a cam pony like the one on the right.

What a find.....I don't need one, but for that price, I am sure others on here could.
