  4. yea atrs that is on old door knob that came out of an old house on route 66 here in amarillo, they were having a garage sale one day and they had a whole 5 gallon busket full of them. THE ONLY PROB WAS A LITTLE OLD LADY JUST BOUGHT THE WHOLE DAMM BUCKET!! i cried to her and she sold me the carppiest one in the bucket, WEAK BUT AFFECTIVE!!! thanks for looking
  5. thanks for all the kind words, i really need that somtimes, i had to take a break about a year ago,just was getting out of hand(all my freinds wanted free stuff) and my cutting is a little scratchy but it comes back quick

  7. i get so bizz, doing other stuff,i finally had a chance to do a seat for myself, my camera sucks, my talent isnt much better, enjoy! chris
  8. im having trouble 'cutting my top piece to short, how much more are yall giving yourself on the edges? and also latley i have been using a "pitchfork" style tool,and the holes are turning out to close together and too many, im going back with a single punch, question, how far apart seems to work best? iveonly done a few seats and i thought i knewit all,so i never asked questions,THANK YOU FOR THIS SITE!!!!!
  9. ive made a few seats,and ive got lucky on all of them,im trying to do a seat with a "full piecs of leather on the bottom too. anyway,im lacing it up and i notice that its pulling to one side and trowing my tooling pattern way to the left. and also,i got to the last few holes and i was off , three on the top four on the bottom,i made sure to count them to before i started. im pulling my hair out because this is an important seat and im freakin out because now i have to start over, im not sure how much i need to overlap on the top "and bottom" to make it all work out.does anybody have a thread for seats? ive seen a copule but they are not very informable. thanks for any help, i will be offline until 2morw nite,but ill check back thanks chris
