About Me
I started tooling leather back in the year 2000 when I met a guy who was making a belt. I never seen anyone work with leather and was amazed. I remember just watching him pound away at some lines he carved in a leather strap and how it turned into an awesome looking 3D figure. I was instantly hooked. We traded work for material...I would help him with his projects and he would give me chunks of leather to tool on and give me advise. I started making simple key chains and before i knew it, I was buying my own tools. I never made a business out of it, just made things for family, friends, and their dogs. About 2004 I ran into some hard times and in desperation sold all of my leather tools...It was very hard to do. Well, after more than 10 years later I'm back. Now I have more tools than ever, made a nice little workshop in my basement, and back to doing what I love. I'm not sure what I'll do with my leather skills this time around, but I am so happy being able to do it again.
