I'm looking for some information and opinions on these machines. I've found most of the main specs for 45k machines except the presser clearance, though they they are described as sewing up to 1/2" thick. I can't find much info on the 133k cylinder arm machines, except the 133k8 seems to be equivalent to the 132k6 flat bed. Still looking for stich length, presser clearance and max sewing thickness. I'm planning to be sewing belts and sheaths, but also canvas and webbing. This is just a hobby, and old sewing machines are also an interest of mine so I'm happy with the limitations of these older machines. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome everybody. I've not done any leatherwork yet but if I hang about here long enough who knows what i'll be inspired to try. I found this forum when i was searching for information on sewing machines, so I started from the machines section.

Hi everybody, I'm new to the site. I've been lurking for a while though Mainly I'm interested in sewing machines, which was how I found this forum. Still, I am planning to sew some leather, nothing fancy - belts & sheaths.
