Thank you so much for that information. I also had my needle in 180 degrees off. Actually I did so because the old manual I found on line said to. I have changed that with notes in my manual. Also in that manual it says to install bobbin so thread pulls from left to right. Very confusing un till you realize the bobbin rotates counter clock wise.
Can some one who has a swing arm binder mounted on a consew 255rb-3 show a picture? It says should fit in 2 mounting hole to the right side of the needle. That's where the bobbin cover plate is and that plate does not have 2 holes in it.
What HP consew motor should I replace the old clutch motor with? The motor in it now is Industrial Clutch Motor, 1/3 HP, volts 115, amps 40, rpm 1725, model 131L.
And do you have suggestions as to where to buy the motor.
