  1. I use 8-9oz vegtan for the outside and 3-4oz vegtan for the inside rough sides together. After glue and tooling operations I apply dye, stitch, and finish.
  2. Also, I oversized the holster in this application to allow for the clip. I tried to attach a photo but size limitations will not allow. Check out my website on the single clip page. The barbed wire border job was for this pistol with no laser. A little extra leather goes a long way with these new tiny tuckers.
  3. I would drive a .125" piece of lauan board or plastic inbetween the form and the leather at the end of forming. Round off the end in 3 dimesions on your belt sander and it will look and perform fine.
  4. As for the photo above, I wouldn't care if it was genuine granite or not. That behemoth chunk of stone is definitely worth 20 of my hard earned dollars. That thing would be more solid than my garage floor when driving a tool over some leather on it. DO IT DUDE.
  5. The piece pictured directly above is actually very similar to the piece I found in a basement at an estate sale with my wife. I have been pounding on that slab for almost a year with no complaints. Go with what you have man.
