Hi There, Here is the video tutorial: I have used a thin baby calf veg tanned leather, I love this choice for small leather goods as I was looking for something sturdy but no too thick. As usual I stitched it with linen thread from fil au chinois in size 432 and used a Blanchard #8 pricking irons. You could go for smaller pricking iron and smaller thread but I quite like the authentic look of the fat stitching look gives to the product. Using natural veg tanned leather means the leather is going to age nicely and gain a nice patina... can't wait to see how... I will start using it from today and do another post in a couple of months so your guys can see the difference! Download patterns and watch videos on my website: https://am-leathercraft.com/

I think you are right, one can do with a fewer tools than that. The electric creasing iron is quite convenient but also very expensive, it can of course be replaced by a cheaper non electric creaser, veg tanned leather can even be creased with a cold iron...

Thanks! I purchased it from Japan, unfortunately no vacuum deviced attached which can be problematic for big production but fine for small artisan workshop.

Hi everybody, I am new to this forum and been for 16 years a leather crafter. I am from France but living in Vietnam with my wife and kid for the last 10 years. I have co-founded a shoe and leather good business here in Saigon. Glad to learn and share what I know on this forum. Cheers, Alex
