I was wondering if the oil would become rancid after time. Do you notice any peculiar odour with your work after using it for treating?

Good evening, New guy on this forum from Alberta Canada. Started working leather in school grade six. I've been picking away at it off and on. I'm starting to take it seriously as a hobby now and have been enjoying all the wisdom and good humour this forum has to offer. I have mostly done tooling work in belts a few wallets and other smaller projects. I'm looking forward to being a part of this community. Cheers
