  1. Hi Mike - I've just used a private browsing session to view the pictures with no login so I think they should be ok? Just thought it would be the easiest option for people to see different views etc. I'll Shrink the files on my computer this week (too big to upload via my phone) and upload some. Thanks for the suggestions! If I was a bit more handy I'd have a go myself at rethinking the strap system myself - but If I could locate these sprung clasps that give way when I'm completely overloaded I wouldn't minded occasionally screwing them back on...so if I can't, I think a trip to a leather worker / one of your fine yourselves in on the cards.
  2. Please see pictures attached in google drive folder above. Thanks! Update - in the meantime I've ordered a load of edge protectors to replace the missing two on the old wallet. If you don't have any, I've had to order 25 for minimum order, so I'm happy to send over some for this wallet.
  3. *I'm not a leatherworker - apologies for the layman pov* I've been using this bag for a little while for work. I bought it on holiday and unfortunately loaded it with too much weight and the clasp would pop open or the screws would give way fairly regularly. in the process of screwing the sprung clasp back on I lost one of the screws. They seem to be custom as a google search for the measurements using a micrometer proved useless. I've looked at various supply chains online from wholesale China to smaller shops and can't seem to find these sprung bag clasps. Has anyone seen them before? Size approx 20mm x 34mm. Pictures here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7fWIF1y6MSoLTBlLVlyak1LRlU Thank you! Maybe a better question for the help wanted - but any suggestions of a better and stronger strap solution?
  4. Hello! I'm looking for somebody to copy my "wallet" that's on its last legs. I say wallet, it's more of passport holder or oversized credit card holder design with a smaller inner wallet (almost same design). It's an extremely simple design. Black leather, metal edge protectors on both wallets, a single slit in the main wallet to make a card/I.d "pocket" (not lined) and a slit on the bottom of the inside wallet. Lining on one side only. It's not used for money, but for work. Have to be a little cryptic on a public forum, but I can tell any interested leatherworkers it's purpose. It's literally nothing more than 2 folded and stiched pieces of leather with 8 metal corner guards and 2 slits and lining on one side. May suit as a fun little project for somebody learning their craft? Size wise I'm not too worried if the overall size is slightly different, doesn't have to be 100% exact. Just close as possible. The slits do have to be exact sizes and in the same places. I don't know much about leather but it wasn't expensive at all, I just bought it a long time ago and can't buy it again. I'm guessing it's cheap leather (I'll use my micrometer below if that tells you anything?) I'd like the copy to be similar (dubious) quality as it's got the right level of not too stiff and not too flimsy - that really helps with the operation. Could any interested workers quote me please via pm? If I've missed any important details please let me know. Please note 2 edge protectors have come off the larger outside wallet. If I'm opening the wallet towards me, the slit is upside down in the top left, and the inside wallet lives in the right pocket of the wallet which has a slit on the underside. Pictures here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7fWIF1y6MSoaTkzX1pjekZpbWs Full measurements: Thickness of leather is between 0.5mm and 0.9mm (my digital micrometer struggles! Doubled over inside (i.e. To make one of the pockets it's around 2mm. Lining is thin at around 0.2mm. Soft. Maybe poly or cotton? Non slip, dimpled. Reminds me of hydroscopic fabric. I don't think it's very important what material it is. But if that's standard it's perfect. If not, I'll leave it to you. Not sure if this all standard stuff? Just want to give as much info as possible! Wallet thickness total circa 4mm For each of inside and outside wallets. all measurements approx: Note: Both wallets seem to be folded just slightly off centre to create a small lip for ease of opening. I.e for work I'd open outer wallet with slit in the upper right, with the edge lip being on the bottom. This is reversed on the insuse wallet (slit on the underside) and the lip being over the top. Outside wallet: 16.4cm height 21.4cm opened length 20mm gap on the inside middle (between the two pockets) Opened like a book there's a 72mm slit with pin hole ends 56mm from the bottom. Inside wallet 13.8cm height 19.2cm opened length 6mm gap in middle of wallet The slit on the underside of the wallet on the underneath is on the right side (going into the right side of the pocket as opened like a book: 21.6mm from the middle a 110mm Long slit with pin hole round ends (stitches to each side going all the way down the wallet).
