I’ve been crafting leather goods from the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains since 2013.  I'm an archer, so my first project was a hip quiver. Then I needed an arm guard and wanted a back quiver. Sigh. Buy even more tools and leather, construct a work table, customize the template…You know how it goes. Feed the monster.

It's mostly a hobby and a labor of love. But, over time, it’s also been extremely satisfying to create customized pieces such as belts, knife sheaths, horsey reins, portfolios, and guitar straps for friends and customers. My most rewarding project was an eyeglasses case with an inside pocket for nitroglycerin pills for my father. I enjoy client consultations, the challenge of marrying art with engineering for a one-of-a-kind item, and the investment in time and emotion as each work takes shape.
