  1. This mushroom at the end prevents the discs laying flush.
  2. Not sure I follow you there. I do take the thread up until I hear it click past the check spring. Is the deflection pictured below, normal? As the take up lever is pulling the thread, it naturally wants to move outboard.
  3. Okay experts, hit me. Why is this happening? I am guessing it's an issue with the assembly, which I will have replaced soon. Just want to make sure it's not something else. I have the tension dial set at maximum and the bobbin thread still lays flat. For now, just need to know why the thread is getting tangled up here.
  4. Thanks. Going to give the one from Keystone a shot.
  5. Can anyone recommend a quality knee lift for an early model 206RB? (mine does not have the wheel on the bottom like the new ones) Overtightened one of the bolts and the casting split apart. Complete garbage. Thanks!
  6. Brilliant! That did the trick. Thanks! Just in case anyone else needs to know, here is the location of the screw that I backed of a bit. Too tight perhaps.
  7. If I tighten the presser bar spring (flat) all the way down, it does come free, but then I have will have terrible marks in my leather. I have the front faceplate off and cannot tell where it is getting hung up. I definitely feel some rubbing as I get to the top.
  8. I checked that as well and it is good. I can recreate the issue if I push down on the lift bar at the back that is connected to the lever underneath where the knee lift operates. How far is the presser foot designed to be moved up? Wondering if I am lifting too far? As I go up it becomes tighter and tighter. I will post a video of where it's hanging. Possibe the bar is bent? Man, I hope not.
  9. It still sticks after removing the feet. Can you be more specific on the articulations in the head being at fault? Thanks, Wiz. I will try that as well.
  10. What would cause my presser foot to stay in the up position after using the knee lift or the hand lever? I can release it if I press very hard on the top of the foot. Consew 206RB-1 Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the tip! Got her adjusted. Say, how important are the wicks in the front? Mine are obviously missing. :/
  12. Yeah, I saw that on another post. I am intrigued.
  13. Thanks for the tip. I definitely plan on adding those.
  14. I appreciate all the responses! It seems that one of the parts is not correct. Can anyone confirm? Difficult to tell from the schematic. There is a large bulge at the beginning of the stud that would prevent the discs from lining up. I love Alexander's videos. I have watched them all many times. That part seems to be different than mine. I ordered an assembly to be on the safe side as it appears my setup is using the wrong parts.
  15. The machine can handle from #69, up to #207 bonded nylon or polyester thread.
  16. I hear ya - but the fact remains that the tension on the discs never releases or has released since I have received the machine. I have put everything back together and tightened the knob, tension still not releasing appropriately.
  17. I am using Vinymo #5 thread. I have no clue what size needle I have. Does anyone know what size I should have? I am just going to buy the entire tension assembly. If I can't even release the tension with the foot release, I need to get that resolved first.
  18. I just got this machine and have not been able to stitch it correctly. I am completely at a loss and am in panic mode. I have spent a lot of money getting this to my shop and now I have a large paperweight. Please, help me. I am willing to pay money at this point. Does anyone know of any shops in the Kansas City area? Something is very wrong with this machine and I just need help telling me what looks off and what doesn't.
  19. Is this deflection normal? It seems hard to pull the thread through even without the tension discs on. Pulling through the needle eye, it deflects the needle as well. Ugh.
