im getting ready to make a few notepad holders out of 1-2 ounce leather with bag stiffener in the middle and a layer of cordura inside to line it the bag stiffener is less than a millimeter thick and it is stiff will my econosew 2060e8bld be able to stitch through it? Or should I switch to a firm leather to give the notepad case some rigidity?

looking for a cylinder arm machine
Sturmtrupp702 replied to Sturmtrupp702's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
i do have a econosew 2060 to do wallets once i get it to quit breaking thread and a Chinese patcher to do belts so the cylinder arm will primarily do sheaths and holsters the class 26 definitely sounds like it will do what i need or a class 3 does anyone have feedback on the cobra machines from tandy? -
I recently stumbled upon a landis 16 for sale shipping it to Las Vegas would cost me roughly 700 im assuming this is still a pretty good deal? the seller said the peddles might need to be rewelded but im asking for pictures to see whats going on there. i dont think the seller is very knowledgeable about sewing machines but they said it looks like its all there. should I stear clear of it or take a chance and buy it.

as the title says im looking for a cylinder arm machine for doing knife sheaths and holsters and would prefer to get one with the ability to attach the top to make it like a flat bed for sewing wallets. so far the techsew 2750 pro has stood out to me the most ive also looked at the cobra class 3 and 4 my budget is 3000 any input would be greatly appreciated

Recently my econosew 2060e8bld had some thread get wrapped around the bobbin case and I didn't notice it till the needle wound up wedged against the edge of the bobbin case and at the time I thought best to get everything unbound by loosening the set screws on it so I could get the needle unbound and get the thread out and now I cant get the needle to not brush against the bobbin case as it comes up any help would be greatly appreciated
