Lougaya

In 2016 I am Lougaya,

I started making moccasins professionally. After getting more confident with the skill, I started making my own patterns and teaching to small groups of people while I travelled through Australia, Asia and Europe. I have probably stitched over 500 pairs by now and taught directly to almost 100 people. I experience a great satisfaction in continuing to refine this art and sharing it to help people realize that it’s actually quite easy to make their own shoes!

What I like the best is to witness the first time people put their moccasins on. Their smile and spontanious dance fills my heart with joy. For me, it is an undeniable proof that they feel more energy flow and freedom in their movement. I feel strongly guided to support people reconnect with the Earth in all possible ways.
