How did you find leatherworker.net?
By accident.

That material varies in price from $16.75 a yard at www.ahh.biz to $21.95 per yard at www.seattlefabrics.com without shipping. That is good material for the palms of gloves or on shoulder straps so that they do not slide around.

The owner is taking his sweet time I thought he would move faster since he has to be out of the building by the end of next month.

Hi everyone a friend of mine has closed their shoe shop in central CT. and are selling the machines. Here is a list, all are in working order except as noted. Landis model 12-f Pearson McKay Stitcher model D Serial #402 needs to be setup*** Singer 111WSV14 Continental - 8 auto soler Paragon Model 1 shoe stretcher United Carr M669 press F.H. Smith Universal press for snaps Singer 29-4 with stand - very nice extra treadle stand for a singer 29-4 American splitter/skiver no model number found on this unit I have to post picks. There are some heavy steel shoe stands short and tall- slide the shoe/boot over it to nail on a new heal. I do not know what they are called but will post pics next week. All hands tools will be going also and when I get a list and pics I will post. One last machine it is a beast. It is made by American the unit is about 10 feet long and has a series of sanding, buffing and polishing wheels, I could not find a model number on it. As everything listed here is very heavy except for the 2 presses local pick up is required. Feel free to email me at mikciaff@msn.com

The only way I would ship the patcher is if you made the arrangements. Call the UPS store 410A Queen Street SOUTHINGTON, CT 06489 (860) 426-8449 and pay them to pack and ship it. I have no problem taking it there to be shipped. Keep in mind it is probably 100 pounds and shipping could be costly. I do not know if they would do it, may have to be crated.

The small green 185K is the machine I will ship the patch machine is too big and heavy to ship.

First shoulder holster
STBY replied to Shorts's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Hi Monica, I'm Mike and I have been around guns, military and law enforcement for awhile and have made many a holster/duty rigs for friends. So here are my .02 cents. First, the person your making it for are they small, medium or large framed? Second what size semi auto and revolver will be carried, barrel length? You mention carrying the gun horizontal, well if the person is small in stature and they want to carry a full size .45 1911 or 1911 long slide (6" barrel) or a revolver with a long barrel it will protrude out the back making it look obvious that they are carrying. Vertical or horizontal, I have done a slight 20-25 degree angle off of vertical which is nice and comfortable for carry and easy to draw the gun. Horizontal will also require a good retention device so it does not fall out, can't have a nice snug friction fit like on a belt holster, as the person goes to draw and the gun is stuck. You may already know that you will need to add buckles so the person can adjust the straps and also add one strap on the bottom of each holster that they can attach to their belt so the holsters do not flop around when walking or if they are a cop, chasing a bad guy. Hope this was helpful. -
cross draw holster question
STBY replied to figthnbullrider's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Here are a few pics that I used for ideas. -
I've ordered from them with no problem but most of the time I order from www.paragear.com because all of their material is mil-spec which I use for rifle slings, riggers belts and bags. I like to use tubular nylon webbing for certain types of slings because it is softer and will not dig into the neck area like a more rigid nylon strap.
