  1. It cleans off the stamps easily with water.

even the sponge cleans up real good. notice the sponge I used in the picture. the picture is after I washed the sponge

Most of the ink transfers to the leather when you stamp.

I have found that if you dye first and wax or neutral tan coat the edge ink wipes off with a little water if it gets in the wrong place when placing the stamp.

If the leather is dry, I don't think it would clean up as nicely, if at all. I haven't tried it.

  2. I found that if I put some edge ink on a sponge and then lightly applied it to my stamps I could leave a nice dark stamp impression.

It did not work real well for my logo stamp, but it worked great on my alphabet stamps, and I think it would also work for numbers.

Since this is edge ink it cleans up real well with just water, at least this brand does.

If anyone knows a better method please let me know.

  3. My Friend asked me for a bottle carrier pattern. I didn't have one but I did have a cardboard pattern that
I had previously made. So I thought I would try and put it in inkscape; a program that I recently discovered,
that is free on the internet. What you see is the result of my efforts.

I have made a Bottle Carrier and on the 2nd page is a Can carrier - both are marked near the cutout.
The can carrier 1A is shorter and 2A's location was moved lower to accommodate the shorter height of a can.

each piece has color coded dots for ease of piece placement.
I named the colors in case some one is color blind, so they can also understand the color placement.
Note: The colored dots should be punched as well as the uncolored dots.

The reason for the snap at the bottom is in case someone wants to fold the carrier at
the cutouts and have the carrier ride higher at the waist.

  4. I am retired and thought I would try my had at leather wok. I really like it so far, but I have a lot to learn. I have also been playing around with inkscape, a vector graphics program. I recently stated wearing overall's because they are very comfortable, but I didn't have any place to carry my keys so I came up with a solution that works for me and I thought I would share. Let me know what you think of my Idea as well as my graphics work.

    Thanks
