some of the leather suppliers here in the US indicate where a particular piece of leather is coming from, like imported from India or imported from Brazil. Since I am so new to this I wanted to get advice. I guess the imports do seem to be less expensive. What are your advice about south america imports? and thanks so much for your help

I just received a veg tan dyed double shoulder from Weaver Leather and it has a musty smell. What are your recommendations? should I air it outside? send it back? will the smell go away after awhile? Is it unusual to run into this?

is it safe (from anthrax) to buy leather imported from india and/or Asia? Should I try to stay with USA?
