I'm just a middle-aged guy who feels more and more driven to make things by hand the older I get. I have a particular fondness for working with leather and making square things round on my wood lathe. While I feel pretty accomplished spinning up a lathe project, my confidence in leatherworking lags far behind. It's a relatively simple series of tasks to make a functional item from leather- but it's another skill altogether to be able to make that same item pop with finished precision, as if it were sitting on the shelf of a store. So, that's a little bit about me, and where I'm at skill-wise.
