  1. The service manual.is gold! The german one for who speaks/understands or google translates is even better. I fully reconditioned my machine, painted it and found an original Adler table which I reconditioned it as well. Waiting for some needle plate and feet, but it sews perfectly. Attached a pic from.when I was doing the timing of the feet and needle.
  2. Thanks!! 69 class, makes sense...similar stitch length lever. Now it s clear for me. just to adjust the cam where the fork goes until I have no movement. Fingers crossed! By the way, do you loctite all the screws you open after making adjustments? Allright, I will assemble everything and oil everything again and try to rotate by hand and I will post an update.
  3. Hi, I ve started reconditioning a Adler 169. The machine didn't had oil for a long time so rotating it by hand was very hard I disassembled the feet and needle linkages completely and cleaned them but haven't yet assembled the parts. I ve also disengaged the timing belt. The machine is still rotating hard. Then oiled it a lot and started rotating. It seems to improve a bit. Question 1 : timing belt disengaged and only upper shaft, the hand wheel makes about 2-3 full rotations when letting it go after giving it some momentum. Based on your experience is this in spec or should I look into the cleaning of bushings...if I ll be able somehow to remove the upper shaft. Question 2: does somebody know the nominal distance between the presser fot bar and walking foot bar in 0 position for the stitch adjustment? The issue is that setting the stitch length to 0, the walking motion was still there. Not sure if I understood correctly after browsing the forums, but this can be adjusted from the connection of the rocking arm shaft and the other linkages found inside near the stitch adjuster, and this can be fixed by knowing this standard distance between the feet bars. Thank you!
  4. Yup, it is sold! Thanks
  5. Reviving this topic. What is the worst that can happen? I seee that the bearing is mounted from the inside probably after the last owner replaced the transmission belt. Also the belt is not wide enough and it pushed the upper axle to the left side, needle side, so I moved a bit the sprocket to not have that movement. Adler 169 Edit: the lower shaft, feed dog with the eccentric, had also a left right movement. Not sure if I had to eliminate that movement. Unscrewed the lower transmission sprocket, pushed the shaft to the right and tightened the sprocket. Rotated the machine by hand. Looks normal to me.
  6. It s as good as sold. Thanks for looking
  7. Hey guys, I want to sell my Sieck 441 machine, the shorter arm variant. Bought it new 2 years ago. It s a great machine, and used it for very little time. Looks and works like new. I want to go a class lower. It comes with a servo and speed reducer, 4 needle plates: 2 curved the standard and narrow from Wildharry, a flat one and the stirrup. Leather feet: left, right, both, left and right front toe. The standard cloth feet. LR needles from 160 to 250, a set of diamond 180's, and S 160 and 230. Some spare springs and a spare Adler 205 hook which works on this machine. And a lot of stitching thread from Amann: thick ticket 9 serabond, strongbond size 10 and a lot of serafil size 10 and 15, probably 40 bobbins or more. The machine is well maintaned and if I would sum up the total hours I worked on it, around 1 or 1.5 months 8 hrs per day. It is just plug and play. Like I said, I want to go a class lower like Adler 269. Price 1600 eur, vat included and sold as a company. Shipping is calculated based on your location. Would like to sell it locally in Romania or the EU
  8. Wow! Thanks so much for the info and manuals! I will study them. I received some more pics. I am guessing this is the CB hook? Do you know the age of this machine by any chance? I don't have a pic with the serial number.
  9. Hi guys I am interested to buying the machine in the attachment photos. I can see it is a model 23 Pfaff. I read around here that it is best suited for lighter work such as fabrics and light leather and that's what I need. I stopped to this one because it looks in good shape and it has the original accessories, even an electrical motor behind it. Can't seem to find much info about it and what I would be interested of, after purchase, would be a couple of thread posts because I saw it lacks one and one is bent as it looks, and needles and bobbins probably. Do you know what size of needles this fits and bobbins? I opted for this because I like it! Asking price is about 400eur. Do you think it is a fair one? Thanks! M.
  10. Hello guys, I am looking to rebuild my old camoga band knife splitter. It's a very old C400. I am missing some parts on it. Two will be the upper side guide rollers for the blade. And one is the wear piece that goes in the slot here. Picture attached. I don't have a manual so if you have one in a digital version that would be awesome! Thanks a lot! An overview with the machine. Some parts are unmounted already
  11. Hey guys, I have 2 extra cones, brand new, a month old, of Amann Serabond size 9 or V346, bonded polyester. Strong thread! I ordered too much and just selling the excess. Color is cream or code 7600U. Price, 80 eur both. Shipping on top depending on location. I live near the Amann factory so I can help the guy that purchases these 2 to have continuity if needed. Thanks!
  12. I am curious about the feet movement. I had a similar issue with the feet alternative movement which was out of spec.
  13. Super fun actually! Advancing the hook makes total sense. Thanks! For the CB3200 does the same timing rule apply as in CB4500? I mean the nominal hook position should be barely visible as looking from under the needle plate? It is a cool machine. Played with it for a few days and now I'm ready to take on some projects. I'll still have to order the slim dog and needle plate because I can see the need for it when stitching close to the edge. And still waiting for my threads to arrive. But in the meantime I had some size 9 thread, I think thats 348 tex. Loaded top and bottom and looks nice. 230 LR Schmetz needle. About 7 mm of leather.
  14. Hello, Got myself a Sieck 441, but the one with the smaller arm. I have the same sound like you are having. I identified as being the thread snapping and moving up a bit the shuttle when it goes around it, on the bump where I am showing it witth the screwdriver. I checked Uwe's video with the timing but there he is making it for the longer arm. Not sure if this applies to the shorter, cb3200 type. Also what I noticed comparing to Uwe's video(longer arm 441 copy) is that the shuttle of my machine has more play. Construction of the race looks different as well.
  15. That looks so good! I'm guessing that you have the slim plate there as well!! Will send the message asap haha.
  16. @RockyAussie thanks for the feedback! Yes I will pair it with the open walking foot but couldn't find a photo with both. On my juki flatbed I modified/cut the walking foot just for this reason, to see where the needle goes in. Better control of the stitching especially dealing with changing layers. I already read about the plates you are doing, so that one is on my list. First I'll get comfortable with the machine and the first thing I will get is your slimmer opening plate and dog. I'll send a pm with the address for a quote. Thanks again! M.
  17. Hello everybody I made my mind purchasing a Juki 441 clone. Also, based on the stuff I want to sew with it I am intending to get this type of presser foot. Attached picture. The idea is to sew the bag gusset with support from the right side. I'm not sure if I am doing the correct choice, well probably I'll need anyways different types of feet in the future. But some feedback regarding this type of foot is appreciated. Also, is there something such as a flat needle plate for a cb3200? Thank you! Great community! M.
  18. Thanks a lot! I'll send a pm.
  19. I was searching the market for a triple feed heavy machine, and found this. Talked with the guy, he doesn't know what he bought but he's selling it for falling ill. Can't really associate the photos with any machine I know. Maybe some of you guys can provide any info? Thanks! M.
