if someone knows my machine wertheim? look that wertheim does not have a metal bar where the thread goes around before the take up spring, the singer 18-2, 18-3., and also Seiko do have one, but this wertheim nothing and no holes for the screw to hold it like in the singer, no traces of a bar before the take up spring, thread goes off the disc direct to take up spring, do you think the machine is complete? first image is singer with the part. second image is wertheim without it.

yes that is what i was thinking , anyway their denim is slim 11,5 oz....it must be bad for the stitching doing so.... thanks 111W, she seems a cool lady, sewing hard, but her husband....

cant you see the second image threading? look the second image and the red line, do you think its good? or a tecnique for thick material? I know she is missing the metal post there which is also a disc spreader on the 16k33, i have 8 of tehse myself and only 3 machine do comes with the original metal post/disc spreader instead they are using a nail on their machine but the threading? tell me what you think, if its ok or if its the threading of the japanese machu pichu style denim ego? he owns maybe more than 100k of old machine in collection, and he cant even have a 16k33 complete, which is use 50% for his famous jeans, poor, lol

hey guys how are you? i am checking to see what is your opinion about this 2 different threading for a 16k33 singer. first image shows what i do myself, the thread goes first around the post and then to the take up spring at the end. second image, the thread goes around the post well before to go around the disc and then directly into the take up spring? as i have a leather machine that is like this too without a post before the take up spring, i am wandering if its correct threading for thick material. the ego of peeps today, the guy thinks he does the best levis repro in the world, and inside the hided pocket, they throw some modern rivets instead, plain modern rivets you can find in jeans from supermarket, and it sells for 450e cause they never lived this vintage period they ;earned it in books boon magazine culture....you can well see the top part of the rivets is not flat in the right drawer ( from the video, not from my image) , its not a punch through rivets at all, its a modern rivets to ease the construction, not even the denim fabric selvedge is good and the color, its sad to see arrivists like this. i say.

i wnated to show the difference between 2 Hirsoe hooks, one i bought from colege sewing, and 2 others i bought at Kelen enterprise on alibaba, the 2 i received from kelen were good to break my neck 4 hours, its does not work in any of my singer 18 and i have a lot of them. guys watch out when you buy "Japanese" sometimes its a real bummer, do not trsut them i send a request i think i will be ignore too, i spent less than 200 euros of these last 2 hooks to get my neck broken 4 hours trying, i have other iamges if you wnat see ther mess on the parts, the flat aera on kelen is much smaller and the diagonal cut too, an horror compare to the other hook, but both Hirose, i also receievd denim from japan totally damaged by water leaks, the japanese integrity is gone. image 1-2 is college sewing hirose, larger flat aera and smaller diagonal cut. works perfect!! image 3-4 is kelen Hirose, smaller flat aera and larger cut, works horrible, a nightmare to break your neck now kelen enterprise is freaking out with the stock he got from HIrose and he can!!

Bob thanks, do you think it can be used to sew leather wallets or stuff like this even if it was for sails making...? its what i red somewhere. jump foot is easy to handle to sew, or what? i wanted a class 7 and i rather pay a 7h501 600e than a 7-33 at 2k.

i think its fixed now, i just used smaller threads... the needles has to touch the hook to stitch on this machine... but any advices or expert about these will be welcome, a friend in Poland helped me out this time...he has some singer 18 listed on ebay. the machine is in good shape i will post images, i got lot of parts but i am looking for a take up lever for singer 18, and a needle bar too in case. ( i got one who after tighting the 2 needle bar screw, there is some play in the needlebar....)

i want explain what my problem is and you guys can help me out maybe. i am not sure my problem is the race, maybe the hook itself was tied up more. when i try to set a normal shuttle it does not fit, only a smaller one that was sanded fits, others enter it but get block right away... now it stitching on top but bottom stitch is terrible, and there is nothing i can do.... not sure what i need to do or to sand or re open the hook more....i m confused... a normal shuttle will get blocks right away, no room.... i can upload a video on youtube to show it but i think its the hook that has been tied up more, both arms are closer one another now...making it much harder to run a normal shuttle... finally the hook arms distance are about the same i ddint measure well.

HI I NEED HELP WITH A SINGER 18-3, the shuttle has been sanded ,. its smaller and no other shuttle will works, i beleive teh race is in bad shape where can i finn a race for a singer 18-3?,
