I appreciate everybody’s help. I’m going to give it a try lol. The reason I was having problems. Here is the page in the manual that shows the needle sizes and I can’t make hide nor hair out of it.

I have an older Franklin sewing machine sold by Sears and roebuck. Does anybody know what size needle and thread I would need for this machine to sew up to 10 ounce leather

Mounted Shooting Rig
Broncsnapper replied to Busterradar's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I’m interested in making a mounted shooting rig for a friend.. does anyone have a pattern for a 2 gun setup with a back belt? -
Thank you. I was thinking the same thing actually.

Thank you Dwight. I’m hoping it comes out decent. Need me another wade so I can get back to working cattle back in Montana and Wyoming.

I recently acquired a half built wade saddle. the rigging was already installed. my question is.. can I install a back rigging by just cutting the stitching and put an in- plate rigging in the leather? And if so, would it be strong enough for roping big stock in the pasture ?

Thank you I will watch those videos and call Montana leather

Recently purchased a seat strainer from Weaver leather. This is the first time I’ve ever built a saddle, and trying to figure out the proper method for installation. I can understand how to do a two piece, but this one piece is kind of confusing to me. Does anybody have any suggestions or a place where I can see the installation of the one piece strainer?
