  1. Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll give it a whirl and order a case and spring ‘just in case’ .
  2. Trying to dial in my Seiko CW-8B-2 for some lighter veg tan work and running into issues with my bobbin tension. Any advice for loosening bobbin tension adjustment screw? Can’t seem to be able to back it off at all, wondering if I should look at getting a new bobbin case and spring?
  3. Near as I can tell, using the process you describe I measure 2mm of rearward displacement of the foot and no forwards displacement. Would this be considered alot of slop? And even if it's only a moderate amount I guess Id be inclined to address it since like you say If I recall you or another member has a thread describing this type of repair?
  4. LOL! Thanks for the detailed instructions on what sounds to be an interesting adventure I'm soon to be undertaking, much appreciated Z
  5. I just picked up my first Singer 29-4 and while playing around with it and rotating the walking foot (is that called the bell housing?) I managed to break the paddle shaped check spring that Wizcrafts mentions in the above quote. My question is how do I go about replacing this spring? Thankfully a couple spare ones came with the machine when I got it Thanks, Z
  6. I'm new to the sewing world so looking for a basic walking foot machine that can handle up to 3/8" veg tan with some thicker tread sizes
  7. This post is a few months old but I'm in the Milwaukee area, give me a shout if your still looking to sell. Z
