Roger Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 i have 5 sites on the same hosting and for some reason when i went to publish my new site, it replaced the primary home page with my new sites index page and all the rest now show that "index of" page. what do i need to do? Quote
Members JustWakinUp Posted October 20, 2007 Members Report Posted October 20, 2007 If it's on a linux or apache web server it would appear as if your httpd.conf file needs to be situated. Or you've put your index.html file in the wrong place. Quote
Moderator Johanna Posted October 20, 2007 Moderator Report Posted October 20, 2007 Why are all of your sites in the same file tree? It sounds like your new site's index page overwrote your other index pages. Upload and overwrite the index.htm files with your backups. Johanna Quote
Roger Posted October 20, 2007 Author Report Posted October 20, 2007 it's a Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix) server. i am using frontpage and for some reason it overwrote the main site's home page instead of publishing it to the subdomain. i am downloading one of my backups and will see if i can't resore things from there. the other sites are still there but that "index of" page shows up for each domain i've never had a problem like this before!!
