JMCohea Report post Posted February 13, 2008 Thanks guys!!! Luke, I,m actually only less than 2hrs from you. I live in a little town called Nettleton, which is about 15 miles south of Tupelo, which you all know is the birthplace of the king of rock and roll,Elvis Presley. I work on towboats Luke, so I come thru Memphis pretty often. Maybe we could meet sometime and you can clue me in about how to get into the whole buckskinning thang. JMCohea Report post Posted February 13, 2008 Very cool John,Looks like maybe some Daniel Winkler influence in your work? Absolutely John!Daniel is not only an influence in my work, but has been very helpful in answering a few questions when I have called or e-mailed. Karen Shook,as you can tell, has had influence on my sheath work, as well as Chuck Burrows of Wild Rose Trading Post. I've never spoke with Karen, but I have studied her work for several years, and Chuck got me started in the right direction in working with rawhide thru a phone call a few years ago. so I owe all these great artists a debt of gratitude!! Luke, Thanks, and I'll give you a call sometime in the near future, and get up there to meet you sometime do this, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
