Adler 767-fa-373

I came across an Adler 767-fa-373 for sale at a decent price (I think anyway) I tried looking up some info on this machine and found very little in regards to using on leather. I currently have a Tecsew t111-155 ( Singer clone ) that I use and like using 96 & 138 thread. Would this be just as capable?  I also have a Boss for the thicker stuff so I like my flatbed for certain things.

The 767-FA-373 was Durkopp Adler's top medium duty flat bed walking foot machine until they came out with the 867.  Both were the best machine made in their class.  Not cheap new.  The one you are looking at has thread trimmers and probably most of the toys, i.e. auto foot lift, back tack speed control, high lift knee pedal, etc.   I have a 767-FA-573 which is the XXL bobbin.  Great machine.  Smooth as hell.  more powerful than the Tecsew.  You need air to run the functions unless it has been stripped.  Very smooth.  1/2" lift under the foot minimum.  Max. stitch length is 6-10mm depending on its age.  Let's see pics if we can.

yes   A white one which is the later model.  Is it motor single phase 220 or 3 phase? It has all the toys!!

120v and also uses air to operate. Not a problem as I already have a compressor in the same area. Think I will go for it. Hey at that price I don’t think it’s a bad investment.

great price.  Efka did not manufacture to many 110/120 volt motors.

So I purchased this unit. Unfortunately I ended up breaking one of the oil lines underneath while trying to move the unit. Where is a good place to get parts for these machines. They all seem very stiff and brittle. Maybe I should just replace them all?

I would.  They are the same type of line these you for air connections.  You could also order it from Durkopp Adler which will cost more.  Download the manuals from the Adler site.
