Sewing machine identification

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

New to machine sewing and looking at buying a machine. Is anyone able to identify what machine this is because I need to replace the shuttle hook. I was told a Necchi CM but can’t find anything like that online.

Assuming a mixture of Pfaff 28 and Singer 17 which are the same class of sewing machine and they even share the same hook (among others like Adler 48, Seiko TE-6 / TF-6 and so forth).

I´m almost certain that if it is a Necchi it will use the same hook as the above mentioned machines:

at that price IMO it is worth giving it a try.

The bobbin case fits nicely. It appears to be the same size as the previous one except the new one takes a narrower bobbin. The machine is now up and running thanks to Constabulary’s link.

The machine was running at one speed extremely fast so I have replaced the motor with a Nema 32 stepper motor I had in the garage and control the speed with an Arduino.
