Members Matheson Posted December 9, 2023 Members Report Posted December 9, 2023 So, I am kind of new to leatherworking. A few years of hobby leatherworking. Anyway, I bought a Tan (more like tan/orange) Glazed Pigskin Lining Bend from Tandy. Please, no rude comments. It has a STRONG plastic with attitude smell. My garage now smells like strong plastic. Is there a way to get rid of the smell or at least quite a bit of it? I had planned on using this for lining a couple crossover bags for my sisters for Christmas. Might go with...pig suede or goat from a different store. Quote

Members DwightT Posted December 11, 2023 Members Report Posted December 11, 2023 I've used that glazed pigskin from Tandy on a few projects, and I've never noticed any significant odor. Maybe it will dissipate with time, but I still think you should take it back and exchange it. Quote
