Members CalanColeman Posted January 19, 2024 Members Report Posted January 19, 2024 Hey folks, I recently came into possession of a couple of Menda dispensers. I think they originated in the beauty industry. you pump the lid, and small amounts of the liquid in the bottle are dispensed in the dished lid. For those of you that deal with dye, has anyone used these as dye dispensers? In theory, it should work great. However my concern is that it may clog overtime. just lookin for thoughts. thanks! Quote
Members BorderBrewer Posted January 19, 2024 Members Report Posted January 19, 2024 Not sure about using them with dye, but they work great for dispensing Hoppe's #9 solvent. Quote
Members dikman Posted January 19, 2024 Members Report Posted January 19, 2024 Yeah, I used one for dispensing patch lube for a while but don't think I'd use it for dye. I can't see much benefit and the potential for making a mess (for me, anyway ) would be high. Quote
Members CalanColeman Posted January 22, 2024 Author Members Report Posted January 22, 2024 Thanks folks! The chance for spillage isn’t one that I thought of. But you are absolutely right. probably a better use for them Is to consolidate all my hoppes #9 bottles. Lol Quote
Members dikman Posted January 22, 2024 Members Report Posted January 22, 2024 Sounds like a better idea. I just remembered that the fibre optic linesmen used them for dispensing alcohol to clean the fibres when joining them. Quote
