Stripes - stretchmarks ?

I got this side of 8-9 oz natural veg tan tooling strap a while ago, I'm just starting to use it.  There are some rather obvious stripes/discolorations on it, is this normal ?  How do I deal with it ?

The photo does show the stripes, but they are much more obvious IRL.

Looks like stretch Mark's, that is usually in the neck & belly area. But it's hard to see your picture. Lmao my eyes are bad enough I had to really squint to make the lines out.

The bad picture quality is probably caused by the lighting in my craft space.

I think the belly is above the top and the neck is on the right hand side of the picture.
