Members t20sl Posted March 7, 2024 Members Report Posted March 7, 2024 I have a Yamata FY5318 and I want to install a needle positioner. My servo motor has brushes. Does this matter on the positioners that mount on end of handwheel? Quote
Uwe Posted March 8, 2024 Report Posted March 8, 2024 (edited) “No” is the short answer, I’m afraid. The controller of your servo motor has to support a needle position device, otherwise you can’t use it. If your motor does not have a controller, you’re out of luck in terms of needle position options. Brushed servo motors generally do not have a controller. Edited March 8, 2024 by Uwe Quote
Members t20sl Posted March 8, 2024 Author Members Report Posted March 8, 2024 I was afraid of that since all positioners mentioned brushless. Thanks Quote
